Harassment (3 incidents)

Pro-life rescuers remember pro-aborts shouting "If you don't like the law, change it! Don't break it!"
But when pro-lifers go through the political process and attempt to change the law, the cowardly pro-abortionists will do anything to protect their precious "right" to slaughter preborn children.
In November 2004, Montana state Representative Roger Koopman proposed legislation that would issue death certificates for unborn children who die as a result of abortions before 20 weeks into pregnancy. Current Montana law allows for the certificate to be written only when an unborn child dies after that point.
His proposal violently upset abortion lovers, even though it would not impede abortion in any way.
Pro-abortionists harassed him with numerous phone calls and mailings, and also local pizza delivery companies and placed fictitious orders bearing his name. He said "It is very personal attacks that have nothing to do with the issue, and in many cases people saying things that are completely removed from what this proposed bill is about." He said that some of the mail he had received had "very hateful language."
Of his legislation, he said that "It's a small way for our society to acknowledge that a life did exist, even if they didn't get to see a sunrise or blow out a birthday candle."
Jessica Rhoades, executive director of the Montana chapter of NARAL, reflexively called the idea "mean spirited" and predicted it would be defeated. She said "Honestly, I don't think it will be difficult to defeat."
