Involuntary Manslaughter (2 incidents) and Illegal Abortion
Abortionist Angel Acevado Montalvo killed at least two women during the time period 1984-1988 and was prosecuted for one of the botched abortions. The day after he was found guilty in trial, he was back scheduling illegal abortions for women.

Attempted Murder (3 incidents) and Death Threats (5 incidents)
Pro-abortionists from the groups Refuse and Resist and ACT-UP (The AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) arrived in Puerto Rico during pro-life rescues at abortion mills there. During these times, the vehicles of three pro-lifers were tampered with, to include having tire bolts loosened and brake systems damaged. Additionally, Father Richard Welch and others received death threats by telephone, demanding that they "get the hell out of Puerto Rico, or else."
