Saskatoon
Violation of Civil Rights
This case shows that pro-abortionists are willing to try to force pro-lifers to violate their own consciences, even if law allows the pro-lifers to opt out of participating in abortion.
The Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists has a conscience clause allowing pharmacists to opt out of dispensing products they consider morally objectionable, Pro-life pharmacists cite many cases where their employers ignore the law and try to force them to prescribe abortifacients and contraceptives over their moral objections.
Despite the protection of the law, Maria Bizacki was suspended from her pharmacist's job for a year after pro-abortion groups organized a campaign of complaints against her.
She sued her employer after the suspension, and was reinstated.
